Delivering care safely requires accurate information about the person being cared for. This notice explains what we collect, why, and the consent we rely on.
1. Information we may collect
- Medical history, current diagnoses, medications and allergies.
- Recent hospital discharge summaries, laboratory results and prescriptions.
- Observations recorded during each visit (vitals, wound status, mood, mobility).
- Next of kin and treating doctor details.
2. Consent to care
By confirming a booking you consent to the care described and to necessary clinical procedures within the professional's scope of practice. For minors or adults lacking capacity, consent is given by a parent, legal guardian or holder of a lawful power of attorney.
3. Sensitive personal data
Health data is "sensitive personal data" under section 44 of the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. We process it only for the purposes of providing care, keeping records required by law, and — where you agree — improving your ongoing care plan.
4. Care records
We maintain a secure care record for each recipient. You may request a copy at any time. Records are retained in line with applicable Kenyan health-records guidance.
5. Sharing with clinicians
With your consent, we may share summary care notes with your treating doctor, next of kin, or emergency services where necessary to protect life or health.
6. Withdrawing consent
You may withdraw consent at any time. Doing so may mean we can no longer safely provide certain services. Withdrawal does not affect lawful processing before it took effect.
